As a Psychic Medium and during my time as a coach and social worker, I would become aware of themes that people would experience in similar time and space.  Some of these themes repeat from year to year, and others present as "random".  I can usually expect an increase in bookings to explore themes of grief in November, Love and Soul Mates in February and Life Purpose in September.  However, an interesting trend came forward for me this end of August and into September.  In one day, I had 13 people connect either through readings or messages about unexpected surgeries.  To say that is was unusual would be an understatement.  Especially when within that same week, there were 3 in my own personal immediate circle.

So, I operate on a few basic beliefs.  They help to guide me and to ground me.

I trust that the messages coming forward are for the highest and best of myself and others.

Everything and everyone holds purpose and value.

There is no such thing as a coincidence.

I considered these beliefs as this theme of surgery continued to be presented.  I also reflected on the feelings that were being delivered with each person coming to me with their story.  Most were afraid and they were looking for relief from that fear.  A couple were excited, as they had been looking forward to the shift that would come as a result of the operation. In all cases, a shift or change was about to occur.

Now, i will preface that I am not a doctor, nor do I diagnose or prescribe.  However, I do sometimes receive messages related to the physical body.  Without the medical training, often these messages seem strange to me, and yet very meaningful to the recipient of the reading.  Words in particular hold meaning, both cognitively and emotionally.  Words can be seen and heard.  They are also felt.

When we explore the word "surgery", the Oxford Dictionary tells us that it means "to treat injury and disease and deformities by the physical removal, repair or readjustment of organs and tissues."  This very 3D definition expresses the position of the physical world, however the emotional and energetic values are dismissed.

I considered how interesting it was that during a season of change, changes in the form of physical alteration were showing up in the micro level of the self for so many.  All of this while we are globally seeing it present in various forms.  I took notice of the "re" words, coming in during the Mercury Retrograde, where they are the signature of the energy.  It is all about going back to rebuild something better.

Before an ailment or symptom shows up in the physical world, in my experience and understanding, it presents in the energetic field.  Whether it be trapped emotion, resentment and hurt, a limiting belief or an unconscious tie from a previous lifetime, the energy is present.  Energy shows up in the aura long before it presents as physical in the body.

In Mediumship, if a message is "wrong" or a Spirit does not feel heard, they get louder.  As a Mom of five, I know that when children do not feel heard, they get louder.  In relationships and marriages, if a partner does not feel heard...they too, get louder.  Sometimes louder comes forward as noise.  Sometimes it presents as silence.  Ailments, illness and disease, from a metaphysical prospective, operate much the same way.

During the experience of an operation, there are many energies at play.  The physical body does what it is supposed to do to protect and heal the body.  The doctor uses their skills and wisdom to act quickly and precisely to fix a problem.  The mind rests so that the body can work.  A team of professionals each lead their skills and talents.  Family, friends and loved ones offer prayers and energy for healing.  The universe receives those prayers and transforms them into what that soul is needing for recovery in this world, or the Spirit world.  And the Soul experiences outside of the physical body.

I experienced my first surgery at the age of two.  It was during the next one, at the age of four, that I unknowingly had one of my first intuitive exchanges.  It was an eye surgery, and I began to wake up.  I could not speak or see.  I was aware that my eye was not where I was used to it being, and I could feel the panic inside the nurse next to me.  It felt like an eternity before the words "she's waking up" came from her lips and increase of anesthetic quickly put me back under.  Two surgeries later, at the age of 12, I actually left my body during the operation.  I was aware of walking into the waiting room and looking around.  I noticed people hungry waiting to go in for their day surgery.  I felt the worry and anxiety of the loved ones waiting.  And, I saw that none of my family was there.  My Mom had stayed until I went in, and then had gone back to work.  As a single Mom in the 80's, I am sure that personal days were not as common as today.  She had planned to come back after I came out of recovery, thinking that I would not know.  (Side note to parents, partners and children of psychics...we always know!  haha)

Stories like these, and even more profound, happen every day!  The idea of a physical surgery, extends far beyond the physical body.

Then there is the energy of grief that is connected to surgery.  Regardless of the why behind the procedure, there is a change on multiple levels occurring.  There is something that will need to be let go and shifted, to allow another energy to manifest.  Grief may hold some physical symptoms, however it is very much a cognitive, emotional and spiritual event or series of events.  It is energy, which when not resolved, it too, manifests into the physical.  An example of this is when a limb is removed, however "phantom" pain occurs.  Another is in the event of a transplant, when the recipient gains insight from the donor.

So, why is this showing up today.  These 13 souls from across North America and Europe, and my 3 loved ones were not all coincidentally being called in for surgery.  Their purpose was not to elevate fear.  There was not some magical surgical ward opening to bring them all in at the same time.  I see them instead as messengers of hope.  Of opportunities to go back and fix the energy that has been trapped for too long.  To allow and invite them to up-level, whether that be physically, emotionally or spiritually.  They also offer us the opportunity to be students of our own energy and well being.  What are the messages that we are ignoring.  How are we not partnering with our own bodies and purpose?  How can we come together to offer prayer, hope and healing?

It is time to listen.  Time to understand that there is more than what we can see and touch.  Trust the messages coming forward, and know that they come to help not hurt.
